Checks

SAM4 is compatible with a 5-port switch and an 8-port switch. Please perform the checks for your type of switch.

5-Port switch check

If the 5 port switch operates correctly, the P1 and/or P2 LED lights up green continuously and the green LEDs of all used ethernet ports are flashing. When using PoE, the yellow LED of this ethernet port will be on.

Notice If the green LEDs of the used ethernet ports do not blink, there is no data transfer between the gateway and the DAQ. Check if the ethernet cable between the gateway and DAQ is connected to ethernet port 1 on the gateway.

Notice If only one of the two power ports is connected, P-Fail will lit up red. This is not an issue.

8-Port switch check

If the switch operates correctly, the PW1 and/or the PW2 LED will be steadily green and the green LNK LEDs of all ethernet ports in use will be blinking green. If Power over Ethernet is being used, the yellow POE for that ethernet port will be lit.

Notice If only one of the two power ports is connected, RLY will light up red, which is not an issue.
